Sales & Business Development Manager – London (Hybrid Working) - £35,000 - £40,000 (plus a competitive commission plan, private pension and equity options) - Retail

They are seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team and help take their business to the next level. This role involves generating new retail and wholesale accounts, managing existing partnerships, and supporting the B2C/B2B sales pipeline 

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development Research potential clients, market trends, and ways to enhance their service to existing customers. Execute targeted outreach across various channels, including digital, events, and social media.
  • Account Management: Manage ongoing relationships with retail and wholesale accounts, providing sales support and conducting regular business reviews to measure performance.
  • Sales Promotion: Propose and implement promotional activities with retail, trade, and e-commerce customers to encourage support, endorsement, and increased sales.
  • Sales Analysis: Collaborate with senior management to create a sales reporting process, tracking daily sales activity to monitor growth and facilitate strategic planning.
  • Forecasting: Assist the senior management team in developing a sales plan and pipeline aligned with their overall strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and social media team to enhance their B2B/B2C proposition and increase brand awareness and engagement within their trade customer community.
  • Act as a champion for commercial delivery, providing sales knowledge and expertise to shape the strategic direction of their brand.
  • Support the founders and marketing team in promoting and expanding their brand presence at industry, consumer, and investor events.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and performance.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, representing the brand with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Skills & Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in customer-focused sales and business development.
  • Experience in the direct consumer space with branded products is desirable.
  • Demonstrated commercial mindset with account management and channel development experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships internally and externally.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work autonomously.
