So, you’re thinking about being a freelancer? What does that entail, today I'm going to talk you through a couple of things you might want to consider before taking the big plunge.
What are the benefits of being a freelancer?
First off, what are the benefits of being a freelancer?
What kind of freelancer do you want to be?
You’ve got to think about setting yourself up – how you’re going to run yourself. Limited company, umbrella, or a sole trader? Are you clued up on everything that there has to be around IR35 and also the insurances that you might need?
What will your offering be?
Have you thought about your offering? Are you going to become really niche in one certain area? Or are you going to be an all-rounder, a jack of all trades if you will?
How will you build your network?
How are you going to build your client pool? Are you going to reach out to friends, family members, or just go anyone, anywhere, across the market?
What areas will you serve?
Are you going to be remote? Are you going to be going into the offices and figuring out covid? Lots more freelancers are becoming remote these days - so the world is your oyster
