Web Optimisation Specialist – London (Hybrid) - £45,000 – Retail

Join our client's experienced team as a Website Manager, collaborating with the Head of Website to optimise performance and deliver an exceptional user experience. You will oversee external agencies, manage content for new launches and global events, conduct audits, ensure compliance, and implement security measures. With strong technical skills and digital marketing knowledge, you'll thrive in this fast-paced role. Bring your attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to drive website success.

Role responsibilities:

• Work together with the Head of Website to manage and optimise the website performance
• Ensure website visitors receive a best in class user experience by effectively collaborating with the key stakeholders across the business
• Manage external agencies that deliver SEO, web support/maintenance, web development, web analytics setup, and web domains support.
• Lead the development of the website content for new product launches and global events.
• Conduct content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
• Provide web support to the local markets fixing bugs and managing change requests.
• Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans.
• Ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and guidelines
• Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
• Ensure that the website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measures.

About you:

• At least 3 years’ experience in website management and optimisation role
• Highly proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Access, mySQL and JavaScript
• Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment
• Project management skills
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of digital marketing and content writing best practices
• Fantastic time management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Fluent English, other languages would be the great advantage
