Service Protection Manager – Manchester or Stoke (1-day a week in the office) – Up to £42,000 - Financial Services

The Candidate has partnered with a leading Insurance broker as they look to grow their IT team with the addition of a Service Protection Manager. The team's vision is to become the leading digital insurance broker in the industry, driven by a commitment to innovation and the exploration of new ideas.

As a Service Protection Manager, the selected candidate will play a vital role in implementing control and governance processes to safeguard and enhance service operations. This position will involve resolving service performance failures and proactively driving service improvements. 

This role would suit someone who is currently working as a Change / Problem / Risk Manager or Analyst role who is looking to take the next step up into covering more areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Service Delivery Team to ensure effective protection of service operations through change control and governance.
  • Provide support across various areas of IT, including Service Delivery, IT Infrastructure, Information Security, and IT Administration.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and updates of the IT department's risk register, clearly communicating risks to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, assign, and track remediation activities for identified risks.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, document minutes, and provide management information, while maintaining the change schedule.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as service review and availability reports.
  • Support the team in communicating service outages, planned changes, and project work, while assisting project managers and third-party suppliers in evaluating change requirements to protect service integrity.
