Marketing Director – Lancashire (Hybrid Working) - Up to £62,500 – Charity

Our client is a large and highly reputable charity, based in the North West. Their key values are being caring, compassionate, and committed as they work creatively with organisations, businesses, other charities, and local communities. 

This is a newly created full-time role with the benefit of working from home twice a week. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Marketing Director's main objectives will be to grow brand awareness by increasing external engagement, income, and impact. You will need to be able to lead a team in growing the company’s strategy, activity, and retention, delivering campaign objectives, and generating income.

In order to be part of their senior leadership team, they require someone who can effectively coordinate extensive marketing campaigns across various platforms, execute engagement strategies, and collaborate with other senior executives.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead across marketing, communications, and engagement so that the charity’s message is consistent and clearly communicated
  • Improve the marketing strategy with the aim of developing the brand, growing revenue, and raising awareness
  • Utilize CRM to improve communications and automation
  • Grow existing and generate new income from building awareness and growing engagement through new and existing channels including events, online and social media
  • Make sure the charity’s communications reflect the reputation and are consistent with the experience
  • Improve user experience by developing content and strategy on internal and external channels
  • Be a fantastic manager, providing advice and support to your team and the wider business
  • Provide insights and reports

Experience 

  • Education or degree in a relevant field such as marketing or communications or equivalent work experience
  • Significant communications or multi-channel marketing experience
  • Experience in developing integrated and audience-led social media, branding, and messaging strategies that successfully target key audiences
  • Ability to use CRM to create campaigns
  • Ability to lead a team and create a high-performing and supportive culture
  • You must have experience managing budgets and hitting KPIs
  • Delivering creative campaigns that have significant impact

  • Both a creative and strategic thinker with a focus on commercial return
  • Strategic thinker
  • Doesn’t necessarily have to have a charity background 
  • Understand GDPR, data management, and CRM systems
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with both stakeholders and organisations
  • Great problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create reports and present them to the board - leadership experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • This role will be subject to a DBS check
