Why you should recruit creative contract talent for 2022, NOW!

Once again, the year has gone by way too fast. The sweet sentimental Christmas adverts are out, mince pies are being sold in shops, and Mariah & Bublé coming out their 11 month long hibernate.

Before you know it, the New Year will be upon us and 2022 projects will be in full swing. And contractors will already be booked up.

A recent survey from the University of Toronto showed that 60% or more of freelancers have too much work on their plates, and over 90% of companies depend on freelancers. You can see the full report here.

That’s a lot of competition when trying to secure top talent!

It’s no secret that there is an apparent ‘candidate drought’ at the moment, and those with in demand skills are, well, in demand! They are either booked up extremely far in advance or being more selective about which companies they work with.

We are seeing a huge requirement for contract Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, UX Design, and Digital Design. There’s been a big push for candidates to be skilled in AfterEffects, Wordpress, Video Editing, Social Media, and JavaScript.
